Georgia Watts is fundraising for Club Rafiki and will be travelling to Kenya this summer - this is what she has been up to: "I'm very excited about going to Kenya in July and I have started my fundraising with an Avengers movie marathon. My friends all paid to have a cinema experience in my home with a pick n mix, popcorn and pizza included. I also made some avengers themed cupcakes! We sold bracelets that I made with African beads and did a prize draw with Avengers prizes! After 9 hours of fun, we totalled our fundraising at £274 that will go towards the children in Nanyuki. I'd like to say a big thankyou to everyone who came and those who donated. Georgia Watts :-)"

Every year the Year 8 girls come together and decide on a charity that they can raise money for. We know how lucky we are at our school so we wanted to help provide opportunities to others in a different country.
This year, the girls in my class, form 8D, decided that we wanted to give our sponsorship money to Club Rafiki. We all took part in different activities over the Easter holidays and asked friends, family and neighbours to sponsor us. Some girls did sponsored cycles, sponsored runs, walks and one evn climbed a mountain!
I chose to do a sponsored silence for 24 hours which was really hard because I like to talk - a lot! Some of my friends and I also decided to run a raffle where school friends could buy a ticket to be in with a chance of winning a box of chocolates! This was very popular!
Through all our different activites, we managed to raise around £1800!
This money has provided all 76 children with a new school uniform - THANKYOU!
WELL DONE AND THANK YOU!
